Wattage

The rate at which an appliance consumes electrical power, measured in watts (W).

Wattage tells you how fast a device uses electricity. A 350W mining PC consumes 350 watt-hours of energy per hour of operation. The figure stamped on a power supply is the maximum it can deliver, not its actual draw - real-world measurement with a plug-in meter almost always shows a lower number. For Malairte home mining, typical wattages range from 35W (small laptop) through 200-500W (single-GPU desktop) up to 600-900W (two-GPU rig). Multiply wattage by hours used to get kilowatt-hours, the unit your electricity company bills in.
